Maternal age – 14 to 19 Years

Teenage pregnancy and birth is associated with increased risk of health conditions such as anemia, high blood pressure and depression in the mother, as well as low birth weight, and preterm birth. Becoming pregnant as a teenager is also associated with social, education, and employment challenges.
