What is penicillin G?
Penicillin G is used to treat known cases of Syphilis. Penicillin G is given by injection. Depending on what phase of Syphilis the patient has been diagnosed with, the treatment could involve one or three injections.
What are special instructions for penicillin G?
- Do not have sex until both you and your partner have received and completed the treatment. This includes oral sex.
What are the possible side effects of penicillin G?
- pain and inflammation where the needle was given
- flu like symptoms – headache, chills, fever
- lack of energy, nervousness, tremors, dizziness
- nausea, vomiting
- diarrhea
- stomach pain
