Consent
Consent means agreeing to be sexually active with someone. The choice of having sex or not is very personal. Only YOU can decide what’s right for you. Without a clear YES, the answer is NO.
What is consent?
- present in a relationship
- given freely
- vocal
- continual
- sober/conscious
- clear
What doesn’t count as consent?
- The person is too drunk or high to be able to give consent.
- The person is asleep or unconscious.
- The person agreed to some sexual activity.
- This doesn’t mean they consent to everything.
- Consent one time doesn’t mean consent every time.
- Coercion is not consent. Coercion is using manipulation against someone until they give in. When someone is coerced they are not saying yes on their own terms.
