Let’s be social!

Funding available to increase social activity for older adults.

Not-for-profit older adult clubs in Greater Sudbury and the districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin are invited to apply for up to $500 in funding to be used to help support social activities for older adults. Up to 16 grants of $500 will be awarded.

Staying social helps build relationships and improves physical and mental well-being. As part of the regional Stay on Your Feet strategy, Public Health Sudbury & Districts is launching this pilot funding opportunity to help community partners deliver activities that encourage social connections among older adults. Support for social connections aligns with the main elements of the Stay on Your Feet approach to healthy aging—Let’s be strong, Let’s be active, Let’s be social.
