Advisory Alert
May 9, 2024
*Cette information est seulement disponible en anglais.
To: Local Health System Partners
FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION
This Advisory Alert is to notify local health system partners that Public Health Sudbury & Districts is updating its Tuberculosis Skin Testing (TST) clinic services effective May 13, 2024, and until further notice.
Public Health Sudbury & Districts will continue to administer the TST for the purpose of medical surveillance and for contacts of a case of infectious active TB disease. Individuals in high-risk groups, students, and those requiring TST for occupational reasons will be no longer be eligible for Public Health’s TST clinic service, and will need to be directed to community health care providers. This change is the result of capacity pressures in Public Health within an environment of constrained provincial funding.
Thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration in protecting our communities. If you have any questions about this Advisory alert, please do not hesitate to contact the TB program at 705.522.9200, ext. 457.
Sincerely,
